Past Exhibits

Welcome to "A Sampler", an exhibition of textiles and fibre arts from the Courtenay Museum collection and private collections. The pieces chosen for this exhibition reflect techniques and materials from a variety of cultures and locations around the world.

From Fijian Kapa cloth to woven Navajo blankets, from beading to lace work, all of the items in this exhibit reflect a high regard for attention to detail, visual beauty and durability for functional everyday use.

Appreciation is extended to: Vivian Cruise, Joe Swallow and Elena Stepanenko for their generous loans and donations.
