Courtenay & District Museum

New Date for Marilyn Timms Prints
Now Available on December 12th, 10:30 am to 12:00 noon

The Marilyn Timms exhibit "A Snapshot in Paint", which runs until January 16th, has been a resounding success. A portion of sales money from this exhibit has gone towards the museum's purchase of one of the pieces entitled “West Coast Retreat”.

Marilyn created this beautiful painting at the Capes Escape, the property and home donated to the Courtenay Museum by the late Katherine Capes which the museum now runs as a popular vacation rental.

The museum has embarked on a limited edition run of 200 prints of this painting. Scanned by a fine arts shop that specializes in limited edition prints and printed by one of the top printers in the province; they will be top quality.

All sales from the painting will go towards the museum's endowment fund. The cost of each 18 x 24 inch limited edition print will be $100 plus applicable taxes.

The prints will be available by the 12th of December. For people who would like to purchase a print and have it signed by Marilyn Timms, we will host a session with her on Saturday, December 12th from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. Purchase one of these beautiful prints for your collection or as a gift. Thank you, Marilyn Timms!
