-Portrait-

The Neornithes are composed of a multitude of modern Upper Cretaceous bird orders whose fossil record is, understandably, quite sparse. These include the Charadriiformes (shore birds, gulls, and auks), Procellariiformes (albatroses and petrels), and Coraciiformes (kingfishers, rollers, hoopoes, and hornbills), among a few others, any of which may be represented by a small collection of isolated, and very fragile, “bird” limb bones recovered from Maastrichtian marine deposits on the north coast of Hornby Island.
-Fossil Material-

Images of the material will be added to this space when available.
