They think the answer to all their research questions will be available to them.
It's true that the resources on the Internet are mind-boggling, and
expanding rapidly. But before you start you should know that there are a few
things you will not find on the Internet yet:
- Your completed, personal family history
- Complete sets of birth, marriage, death, obituary or cemetery records
- The records from the Latter Day Saints Church in Salt Lake City, Utah
(the world's largest genealogical resource)
- Complete census records

Canadian Expeditionary Force

A database of over 600,000 Canadian soldiers who enlisted during the first World
War (1914 -1918). The personnel files are indexed and held in the National
Archives of Canada. This site contains scanned images of over 50,000 pages
of Attestation papers. (They indicate the recruit's name, address, next-of-kin,
place of birth, occupation and previous military service, and distinguishing
physical characteristics.)
