Genealogy is a worldwide and hugely popular hobby. People research their family history for many reasons, but it usually starts with two simple questions: “Who am I?” and “Where did I come from?”
Finding information about your ancestors can be one of the most rewarding and educational experiences of a lifetime. But remember, it is not always easy, and you may encounter many dead ends along the way. Adopt the motto, “Never give up.” Doing research is like a treasure hunt, and it can be a lot of fun.
Still, you should know that not everything can be found on the Internet (at least not yet), and you will likely have to access other resources or contact a researcher for assistance on a detailed family research project.
