Join artist and travel journaler, Wayne Wilson, for a primer on how you can get going on keeping your very own travel journal for each of your epic travel adventures. Whether it’s a wine tour, cycling tour, a vacation in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, or a camp out with your family, you will learn lots of tips and tricks on how to start a travel journal that will keep your memories rich and fresh for years to come.
This session will help you learn just what you need to build your own travel journal kit so that you have everything you need to get going. And the handy thing about the kit that Wayne will be showing you – it doesn’t have to be fancy, expensive, or elaborate. He has taken the very same kit on a month-long wilderness canoe trip down the MacKenzie River in the Canadian Arctic, so if the kit will work in a tough setting like that, it will probably meet all your travel journal needs.
Wayne will also pass along lots of other ‘tips and tricks’ on what to put in your travel journal, and even hint at some special things you can do with your Journal once you’re back home safe and sound.
Wayne spent his career in the museum and archives field, so he’s seen lots of travel journals – and for years he’s been keeping his own journals. In this special session, he’ll be sure to have some of his own travel journals to show you and to get you inspired, with plenty of time for Q&A.
