June 21st marks National Indigenous Peoples Day, and the Comox Valley will have no shortage of activities to celebrate this important day and month. Celebrations will be held at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds on Saturday, June 20 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

The museum would like to give a shoutout to an upcoming 6-week writing workshop at the Cumberland Museum & Archives hosted by Kim Bannerman. Participants will learn how to craft strong settings, design compelling characters, and create engaging narratives, all in a supportive and fun environment.

June 14th - 16th marks the 39th anniversary of Miners Memorial in Cumberland. Every year since 1986 community members, organizers, activists, historians, musicians, families and the labour community have come together to commemorate the sacrifices of workers around the world and right here in Cumberland.
This year marks an anniversary milestone for several Comox Valley longstanding clubs, businesses, and organizations.
