November 11 is Remembrance Day, a day inaugurated in 1919 by King George V to remember and honour armed forces members who had died in the line of duty at the end of World War I. The tradition has continued through World War II, the Korean Conflict and other conflicts in which Canadians have continued to serve.

We honour this important day by noting that 2022 marks the 100th anniversary of the Sandwick War Memorial.
